In total, 33 Super Mario Bros. themed items have been added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Nintendo Switch. These items include Mario themed furniture that can be placed around the island or inside homes, Mario themed outfits, and more.

What are Super Mario Animal Crossing: New Horizon items?
The Super Mario themed Animal Crossing: New Horizons items are in-game items for the mega popular, relaxing Nintendo Switch game Animal Crossing: New Horizons based around Super Mario characters, items, and themes.
The Super Mario Animal Crossing: New Horizons update was made available on March 1st, 2021 and is free to download for all players.
What can you do with the Super Mario Animal Crossing: New Horizons items?
You can use Super Mario themed items like you do any item in the game.
Items include wallpaper to place on walls inside your home, clothing to wear, and decorative items to place inside your house or anywhere on your island.

How to get Super Mario Animal Crossing: New Horizons items
Getting the Super Mario Animal Crossing: New Horizons items is easy! Skip to STEP 3 if you already have your system and game updated.
ATTENTION: You’ll need access to the internet to download the update.
STEP 1 – Update You Nintendo Switch
Make sure you update your Nintendo Switch.

STEP 2 – Update Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Update your Animal Crossing game. First, make sure it and all other software is closed.
- Navigate to the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu
- highlight Animal Crossing: New Horizons icon
- press the + buton to open the game’s Options menu
- scroll down to Software Update
- select “Via the Internet” update option and press A
After the update has been downloaded and installed, you can start the game.
BONUS: Check Your Mail For A Free Item
Once Animal Crossing: New Horizons is updated, you will receive a free gift attached to a letter from Nintendo.
Check your mail box for this special gift.
STEP 3 – Open Your Nook Shopping App/Access Nook Stop Terminal in Resident Services
Open your Nook Phone by pressing the ZL button and access the Nook Shopping app (if you have access to it).
Otherwise, head to Resident Services and access the Nook Stop terminal.
Press the A button at the machine to interact with it, select Nook Shopping, then press A again.
STEP 4 – Access Special Goods
Select Special Goods with the A button.
STEP 5 – Access Promotion Items
Press the R button to highlight the Promotion tab at the top of the screen.
STEP 6 – Access Super Mario Themed Items
You should now see the entire list of Super Mario Animal Crossing items.
