Nendoroid Link: Breath of the Wild Version DX Unboxing
The Link Nendoroid represents the character and his belongings from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo Switch video game systems.
The courageous hero comes packed tight in a cardboard box and plastic see-through front panel, allowing curious viewers to see the contents when propped on a shelf.
Those looking to keep their “hero of time” inside the package will still have something cool to showoff and display with this figurine packaging.
The side of the box showcases various action poses one can position Link along with a clear window with the iconic Eye Symbol design printed on it.
The top of the box provides details about the product along with an adorable action pose.
Open the top of the box and the inner contents slide out easily.
All parts are tightly packed with solid plastic and tape to keep things in place.
An impressive cardboard background set-piece is included and depicts Hyrule over-world from Breath of the Wild.
The tops and sides can be folded back (or kept as is) to your liking.
A small black-and-white instruction booklet is also included to help with putting everything together.
Each part is identified with a corresponding alphabet letter to make the process of connecting pieces as easy as possible.
NOTE: The manual is two sided and has English instructions on one side and Japanese on the other.
The Contents
The Link Nendoroid comes with a bunch of cool parts and accessories.
Parts are easy to remove from the plastic container and some may even fall out by themselves. Be careful not to lose anything!
There are a lot of things included that can be used to craft the perfect display pose.
- Link figure
- horse figure (with detachable saddle)
- hooded Link head (detachable hood)
- display stand
- Sheikah Slate
- sword
- shield
- bow
- arrow
- club
- axe
- sheath
- food
- various positioned arms and legs
A plastic rod and stand are also included to help keep Link and his horse upright. We’ll be using this later.
There are enough included accessories and parts to make Link stand (or sit saddled on his horse) just the way you want.
What you come up with is up to your preference and imagination.
For my first attempt, I wanted to do a simple pose with Link holding his trademark sword.
The Posing Process
Posing Link is pretty simple as long as you’re following the instructions.
Simply take the bending plastic piece and apply enough pressure to put one end into the hole on Link’s back.
You can bend the stand at certain points, too.
Next, place the other end of the plastic rod into any of the pegs on the plastic stand.
Posing the Link Nendoroid is that simple!

This up-close portrait image is probably my favorite.
Horse Buddy
A fun photo of Link and his trusted horse companion.
Ready To Explore
I used the cardboard background for this pose.
Ready For Adventure
I realized I could tilt Link’s head back which made for a really epic pose with nice lighting.
