Over a dozen new Nintendo Switch games releasing in 2021 were announced and I’ll be going over each one, providing pictures and trailers for you to enjoy.
New games coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2021 include the sci-fi anime drama Gnosia, the fan favorite cave exploration series Spelunky and Spelunky 2, the cat themed Fisti-Fluffs, party games such as Very Very Valet and Trash Sailors along with a variety of single player games such as Tunche, Cyber Shadow, Alba, Happy Game, Kosmokrats, Hoa, Hazel Sky, and Finding Paradise.
These new Nintendo Switch games were announced in Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase video to highlight games from independent developers releasing in 2021.

What is the Nintendo Indie World Showcase?

The Nintendo Indie World Showcase is a periodic video series created by Nintendo and uploaded to their YouTube account that highlights upcoming indie games coming to current Nintendo Platforms.

What Are Indie Games?
Indie is short for independent.
Hence, indie games are independently made games often created by smaller development teams that work independently from larger video game publishers.
Indie games vary in scope, graphical presentation, and style.

1 & 2) Spelunky and Spelunky 2
Release Date: Summer 2021
Spelunky is a 2D adventure game with randomized levels about exploring dungeons and obtaining loot while fighting off underworld creatures alone or with a friend.

3) Fisti-Fluffs
Release Date: Early 2021
Fisti-Fluffs is a whacky cat-themed fighting game with humor and gameplay that replicates cat behavior and movements.

4) Very Very Valet
Release Date: Early 2021
Very Very Valet is a party game about picking up and dropping off passengers in a zany 3D world.

5) Tunche
Release Date: March 2021
Tunche is a 2D action brawler set in the Amazon jungle with beautiful hand-drawn artwork.

6) Cyber Shadow
Release Date: January 26th, 2021
Cyber Shadow is a pixel art action game about being a ninja set in a sci-fi future.

7) Alba: A Wildlife Adventure
Release Date: Spring 2021
Alba is a cartoon adventure about exploring a Summer island as a kid.

8) Gnosia
Release Date: Early 2021
Gnosia is an interactive adventure set on a spaceship full of crew members who must find out who has been taken over by a mysterious lifeform known as Gnosia.

9) Happy Game
Release Date: Spring 2021
Happy Game is a visually unique puzzle game set within a little boy’s nightmare landscape.

10) Kosmokrats
Release Date: March 2021
Kosmokrats is a 3D adventure game about piloting a spaceship and solving puzzles.

11) Hoa
Release Date: April 2021
Hoa is a nature-themed adventure filled with mythical creatures and wondrous environments set in a world made of quality painted artwork.

12) Hazel Sky
Release Date: March 2021
Hazel Sky is a 3D adventure game with puzzles about exploring an island with the hopes of becoming an Engineer or else become banished.

13) Trash Sailors
Release Date: Spring 2021
Trash Sailors is a party game for up to 4 players about creating a raft made of trash, setting sail, and fending off threats as a group.
