Minecraft is one of the most popular games in the world. It’s available to play on almost every major console, but is it on the Xbox Game Pass PC streaming service?

Minecraft was added to the Xbox Game Pass PC gaming subscription service on November 2nd, 2021. In total, two versions of Minecraft can be played: Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Subscribers have the option to play either one (or both) while subscribed to the service.

Microsoft added Minecraft to its Xbox Game Pass PC subscription service on November 2nd, 2021, allowing players to enjoy both versions of the game. Java and Bedrock versions of Minecraft can be played for free and for unlimited hours as long as a player remains subscribed to Xbox Game Pass PC.

Minecraft on Xbox Game Pass PC can be played with other platforms, depending on the version being played.

  • Minecraft: Java Edition is available on Windows, Linux, and MacOS devices. These versions can play together.
  • Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is available on PC and home consoles. These versions can play together.

Since both versions are available on Xbox Game Pass PC, players will have the option to play with all versions of the game.

Players who own Minecraft: Java Edition, however, cannot play with players who own Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

Keep that in mind when starting Minecraft on Xbox Game Pass PC.
