There is good and bad news concerning Fall Guys for Nintendo Switch.

The bad news: The hit multiplayer battle royale game Fall Guys has been delayed for the Nintendo Switch. The good news: the ability to play with other console owners has been added as a feature when the game eventually releases.

The Delay

Developers Mediatonic announced the game’s Nintendo Switch delay on their official Fall Guys website.

Fall Guys was originally planned to release on Nintendo Switch in Summer 2021.

Meidatonic cited “so many new opportunities” and adding new features (such as cross-play, the ability to play with other console players no matter the console) as reasons for the delay.

Here is a quote from their announcement.

With so many new opportunities now in our hands, we’ve realized that our previously announced Summer 2021 Switch and Xbox release schedule is unfortunately just too soon for us to include all of the tasty new features we’re working on.
