My preferred way of playing games on computer is by using the Steam gaming app because there are just so many games from so many developers including Xbox.
In total, 48 Xbox games are on Steam including Minecraft Dungeons, Halo Infinite, Forza Horizons 5, and Sea of Thieves. Every Xbox game on Steam is published by Xbox Game Studios, Microsoft’s video game group responsible for publishing Xbox games on gaming platforms.

Xbox games are on the Steam PC gaming platform. Microsoft Flight Simulator X was the first Xbox game on Steam, released October 16th, 2006.
Over 40 Xbox Game Studios games and growing have released on Steam since 2006 with Halo Infinite being Xbox’s latest Steam release on December 8th, 2021.

Over 40 Bethesda games can be purchased on Steam. A wholly owned subsidiary of Xbox, Bethesda has created popular series such as Doom, The Elder Scrolls, Dishonored, and Quake that can all be found on Steam.

Is Xbox’s Minecraft On Steam PC?
Minecraft is not on Steam although the dungeon adventure spinoff is. Minecraft Dungeons and its extra content can be purchased and played on Steam with friends online, via split-screen, or cross-platform play with Xbox consoles. Minecraft, however, is only purchasable through the Microsoft store.

I Bought A Game On Xbox. Can I Play My Xbox Game On Steam Without Buying It Again?
If you want to play an Xbox game on Steam, you have to buy the Steam version of the game. Buying a game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X or S, or any another Xbox console does not grant you access to the Steam version.
Steam and Xbox storefronts are separate. This means you will have to buy an Xbox game on Steam to play it there.

For example, say you bought Halo Infinite on Xbox consoles. You would need to repurchase the Steam version of the game to be able to play it on your computer via Steam.
Think of it like buying a gift card for Xbox; you won’t be able to use it for Steam games.
